UGH - annoying holiday comments

So I *just* got an IM from a co-worker in another department. She just wished me a happy Thanksgiving, and said "and make sure you give that baby some pie! Babies love pumpkin pie!"

"Thanks! You too! And HAHAHAHAHA no."

"Why not?"

"Because he's not even 4 months old yet."

"And your point being?? I think he can handle it!"

Anyone else trying to encourage you to stuff your LO like a turkey with table food this Thanksgiving too??

    Yes! My pop keeps telling me to give Logan all kinds of stuff.

    Like on Halloween he gives me some candies and says these are for my grandbaby. I was like Logan can't eat that. He was like of course he can just let him suck on them. I was like ummmm no daddy but I will put them in his scrapbook. LOL Oh dear daddy.....

    Oh yeah, I keep getting told that she needs to try mashed potatoes and pie tomorrow.  Um, no.  She can eat everything next year.

    My father in-law actually offered him lunch meat. Of course he can't eat it, but I seriously can't believe (okay I CAN believe) that he didn't even think of the choking hazard there. He's giving us crap about feeding him "real" food all the time.

    Canadian here so our Thanksgiving was last month.  My mom gave DD a "taste" of potatoes and squash.  It was quite funny to watch DD's face get all "WTF was that?" Other than that my mom keeps telling me that I can start her on "real" food anytime.  I just say maybe next week.  She seems to be fine with that. hehe
