funny or not? PIP.

(obviously, it would be cropped, edited, etc).

Can you tell that he's kind of snarling at me?  Is that funny/ironic enough with the "be merry" to get it through?

 

If the answer is no... not funny... I have this photo (a little sweeter) that I would also edit first.

what are your thoughts?  I'm so indecisive about these stupid cards.

    Honestly, I couldn't tell that he was snarling. He looks a little grumpy, but I'm not sure I would "get" the humor if you hadn't explained it. He looks so sweet in the second one though! But also a little sad. What happened to the one of him that you posted the other day, without the sweater? Those were pretty!

    Thanks for your honesty!  I'm going to post another to see what you think.

    The ones without the sweater had the distracting baseboards, then the ones last night had bad lighting.  I think today's run was my best... and I can't keep making the poor dog put on the sweater for more photo shoots! :)

    Distracting baseboards??? I think you were the only one to notice. Use one of those and see if you can find a card that talks about the festiveness or celebration of the holidays and call it done!

    I like the first one, but I would crop out the painter's tape in the corners.  And you can *totally* keep making him put on the sweater.  It's adorable.  :)

    I see the snarl, though it's not that obvious.  If you could think of a cute quote to draw more attention to his expression it might help people catch on.  I don't know if that's the sort of thing you're going for with your design though.

    I see the snarl, although I agree that drawing more attentiont o it may make it funnier. Can you find something referring to The Grinch or "Bah Humbug"?

    He is so.dang.cute.

    Exactly. I saw the snarl right away, but it took me a second to get the irony. This pic, though is so sweet! I don't think he looks sad. Hound dogs have that kind of look in general. I think this pic is my favorite. Sweet face, sweet pose, you can really see the sweater, and the lights look great.

    How I wish I had the time to analyze pics of my dogs that will go on a card that will ultimately end up in a recycling bin. 
    As it stands, I haven't had the time to even think about our cards, or what will go on them, or what my child will even eat for breakfast tomorrow. 

    I am envious of all your free time.

    Hm. Not sure how to take this. I'm envious that you have a beautiful little girl to put on your cards... So my life isn't all peaches and cream, either. Regardless, hopefully things will settle down for you soon and you can get an opportunity to rest and recharge over the holidays!
