Sorry for the missed check-in last week. Somehow deadlines manage to sneak up on me. And it is not yet midnight my time, so technically this is still being posted on Tuesday. Smile

I am now looking forward to a nice long holiday weekend! Given my results from today, I think I am officially graduating from the 3TC board. Hopefully the rest of you will follow shortly! In the meantime, would someone like to take over the check-in? Let me know, and I will send you the list, which you can modify as you see fit.

Last Friday I got the surprise of my lifetime...a surprise BFP. Beta #1 was 208 with my p4 at 7.4. Beta #2 is this morning and scheduled for a positioning u/s next Friday. We are still being extremely cautious since my p4 is so low.

QOTW: we do not buy for everyone. I have a very large family and it would be quite expensive. The "adults" (meaning my parents, aunts, and uncles) decided that the gifts would be for the kids (myself, my sisters, my niece, cousins, and their kids). The parents give small gifts. But we always buy for our parents and siblings.

Yay T! So glad you get to bow out and on over to PAIF!

Updates: I updated the board Monday, but we had our protocol appt Mon. I'm on 2,000 mgs of folic acid to treat one copy of MTHFR, will go on baby aspirin post transfer for thyroid antibodies. I had elevated e2 at day 2 (92) so he's tentatively upping my stims a bit, but will check it again at baseline. I got my official calendar, and Lupron starts 1/3 and stims 1/13.

QOTW: We've always bought for everyone. We just discussed last night cutting out siblings on DH's side. There are kids around now and we thought everyone might appreciate just buying for them...

QOTW: On my side we just draw names because the family has gotten too big. On my husbands side we get everyone a present.

Congratulations!!! YAY!!

No update here. Just waiting on AF to come so I can schedule my SHG for next month. That is the only test my RE wants me to do before IVF in January.

QOTW: How do you do gifts for family? Something for everyone? Draw names?
We celebrate differently with each side of the fam. We draw names on all sides, but kids under a certain age, I would say 18 or so, get gifts from everyone. On DH's mom's side we draw a couple, on DHs dad's side we each draw a name, on my side we each draw a name. Confusing, but fun!

Update: IUI will be tomorrow -- on Thanksgiving!! I can't believe the timing, my cycles have been so long I didn't expect it until the weekend. Oh well - gotta do what we gotta do!! This is my 4th IUI altogether - 2 last year and this is our 2nd this year. If this doesn't work, we'll do one more and then look into how much a discount they'll give us for a 3rd IVF attempt.

QOTW:We buy for everyone - neither of DH or my famillies are big enough to do a grab bag. In fact, we don't even exchange with my brother and SIL anymore. They live in AZ and wanted to stop exchanging after my brother lost his job 2 years ago. So, it's just my parents and aunt on my side. On DH's side - we exchange with his parents, his brother, SIL and kids and we also buy for his grandma.

We don't exchange with his aunts and uncles - they do a grab bag with his parents between the 8 of them, but nieces and nephews aren't included. Thank goodness though because they give each other leather jackets, jewelry, plane tickets, etc... They give big.

QOTW: We used to buy gifts for everyone on both sides, but recently since everyone is getting older and having kids of their own we have started polyanna and buy for the kids. It's so much easier this way.

No updates from me - going to SIRM on Monday for our second opinion, so maybe I'll have an update after that

QOTW: We do gifts for our immediates families (brother, sister, kids, parents), and then I make gift baskets of homemade jams and homemade Christmas cookies/candies for everyone else (grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins).

We had our 5dt on Monday and am anxiously wishing the days away. I had bloodwork drawn this morning to check estrogen and progesterone. Our pregnancy test is 1 week from today and I'm hoping that all of the holiday festivities this weekend will make the time pass quickly.

We buy for everyone in both of our families. It's usually parents, our 3 brothers, grandparents and a few aunts/ uncles.

Update: Going to the 2nd opinion dr's this afternoon and hope to have a wonderful update later with a new plan. Very anxious and excited to hear what they have to say and how they think they can help me!

Update: I have a large family so we do a few different things. On DH's side we buy for everyone since its just his mom and dad and sister and now our niece. On my Dads side i get something small for my aunts and uncles and something for my 4 cousins and of course my gma. On my moms side there are way too many of us so the adults do a grab bag of lottery tickets. Each person gets $5 worth (used to get the holiday pack until they discontinued it, grrr) and writes their name on it so you dont get your own. They go into a bag and everyone picks 5. No major winners yet, but we're still hoping. Adults buy only for the kids and i exhange with my older cousins and then give to my goddaughter and her younger sister. Whew, its an expensive holiday! LOL This year i am trying to crochet as many gifts as I can to save some money!

We're thinking of actually going to see the Christmas Spectacular. It's been years since any if us have seen it and we thought we could do it the day after Christmas so everyone is still in the spirit. Plus we can go see the tree which DH has never seen.

Update: I have been on stims since Friday and am at the RE's office right now to get my follie check! I had b/w on Monday that showed my E2 was already up to 327, so I am definitely responding! This is the exciting part.

QOTW: I tried to organize an exchange amongst the "big kids" in my family last year, and many people bought extra things for oters anyway. I will just buy for everyone as I wanted to in the first place.

Hi Ladies, I am moving over to the IVF check in from the IUI check in this time since IUI#4 failed and we will start cycling for IVF#1 in January. I would love to be added to this check in for next time.

tst congrats again on your BFP! Have fun over on PAIF and I can't wait to see you on the grad check in.

QOTW: We buy for immediate family so just parents and DH's brothers. My mom takes care of the rest of the extended family and just adds our names.

I am going to call as soon as I get CD1 to start on bcps. I still haven't gotten my records transferred over to the new RE (I have been just terrible this month and being productive) so it is looking like January won't be happening. Fingers crossed I get my act together soon enough for a February cycle.

Transfer is set for 11/30, a week from today!

QOTW: Parents, siblings, their SO's, nieces/nephews, grandparents - everyone gets a gift (sadly between dh and I that's 22 gifts). Then for extended family and groups of friends we draw names (10 more gifts). DH and I don't give each other anything as we're usually broke this time of year b/c of our huge families and their "generosity."
