I'm on the hunt for a good pad to use after my LO is born. All I'm finding for super absorbant is overnight pads that are long and not very cushy. I remember with my DS, the cushier the better! What worked for you? TIA
They're not very cushy, but I liked Always Infinity. I used the Overnight for the first 2 weeks, then switched to the regulars during the day and overnights at night until the bleeding was pretty much gone. They worked well for me and were pretty comfy.
While in the hospital and for the first two days at home I used the huge pads that the hospital gave me. Then, I started using Stayfree extra long with wings. It has worked great so far!

I used the Always Maxi ones, the bigger ones. I didn't like the bulkiness but with the heavy bleeding it seemed they worked best. Then i went to always infiniti.
I have never liked the Always brand before now. I thought I would like cushy pads but with my stitches the cushiness actually was more uncomfortable because it was harder to sit on if that makes sense. The Always Infinity work well because they are thin so I don't notice I am wearing a pad as much, plus they are super absorbent.
I just used the Equate brand ultrathins and theywere fine for the first 2 weeks then I went to carefree liners for weeks 3 and 4. I had both a vaginal and c section under general though so I lost ALOT of blood during the birth and didn't have crazy heavy bleeding afterwards...

Another vote for Always Infinity here :-)
