I get this question every time we're out with Griff.
A few months ago I posted about a lady at McDonalds saying Griff looked like he was 2 years old. A lot of you had responses like "Whoa, that lady be crazy" and blah blah. I totally agreed with you guys.
The other day we were at TRU and a lady asked how old Griff was. I told her to guess. She said "Hes 3." hahaha Her friend was like "No no, hes 2." They were so amazed when I told them he was only 11 months.
Jeeze, I'm starting to think maybe Griff looks mature for his age! But all I see are those chubby baby cheeks. Oh well.
Re: "How old is your LO?"
From your siggy pic, N doesn't look small!
I also get the "There's no way she's that old, she's so small!" remark all the time, eventhough DD is in the 90% for hieght (she's in the 5% for weight.)
I think that overall people are just clueless.

My nephew gets confused for a kid twice his age a lot too. He's a tall kid and at 18 months can do a lot of things for himself. Charlie's age used to be guessed way under until recently. Now, people are generally spot on.
FWIW, I think Griff looks his age and as he gets older he'd better not lose those adorable cheeks!!!

All I see are cheeks too when I look at Griff
Kami gets guessed to be older too, but I think that's because of his hair. And I guess he is big for his age, but I'm in denial about that.
haha this!
In one outing to the mall when ds was 10 months, I had someone guess he was only 6 months, then another person say, "oh wow he's so big!" when I told her he was 10 months, and then another lady actually guess correctly that he was 10 months.
Jericho gets both. Some, who see him when I am holding him, just see the bald head and his slender frame and think he is a month or two younger than he is. Others that see him walking like crazy and picking up heavy objects and carry them around think he is just over one.
This is pretty much us too. No one can figure out why that young, bald-headed baby of mine is running so fast! LOL
Whenever people make these age assumptions, Griff is sitting quietly in his stroller. As if a 2 or 3 year old is going to be doing that! Lol.
And I just remembered the other day a lady said "Boy or girl?" WTF. I definitely thought Griff looks like a boy.
This is us, too. When people see him walking they think it's like some miracle. Ha ha
People are generally just clueless about babies! I think Griff is just perfect the way he is!
We went to our local festival of trees last week and had C in a red Christmas dress and a bow in her hair and someone asked if it was a boy or girl.
yeah it's all about size. and then when you have a big LO ppl will think s/he is retarded or behind or something because s/he doesn't do much for a 2 or 3 yr old (when s/he's 1, so it makes sense).
Likewise, when you have a small LO ppl are like, "wow, s/he can do SO MUCH!" and you're like, "well that's because s/he's 1 yr old, not 6 mo old."
