QOTW: I am pretty lucky that so far (knock on wood) my back has been doing much better this pregnancy (compared to last time). It may be because I've been trying to not gain as much weight as I did with my first pregnancy. Hopefully it stays that way!
Updates: Feeling pretty good and anxious to get my glucose test done. I have it next Monday so I'm really going to try to watch what I eat after Thanskgiving. I also have a follow-up u/s on Monday to check on the baby's heart. So hopefully things are good there as well. I think that baby girl is getting a lot bigger because it is now to the point where I can see my tummy move from the outside when she moves. It's so fun!!
QOTW: So far I am doing great with no weight gain. Hoping to keep it minimal this time and hopefully have a smaller baby (DS was over 10 lbs).
Update: Felt baby girl from the outside and feeling her consistently everyday now
Love this part! Now I don't have to worry quite so much.
QOTW: I am SUPER thankful that my boobs are not the size of boulders already, like they were last time around. They've been a tiny bit sore but are still pretty much the same size. Whew.
Update: Went for my first u/s today! Baby is measuring right on track and the heartbeat was 144 bpm. We got to see the little gummy bear, which makes things more real.
I'm hoping that I won't feel nauseous tomorrow because I really want to eat Thanksgiving food without gagging.
Hey--can you modify me please? My EDD is 6/7/2012 and (to answer your question Atlantic) we don't know what we're having yet or if they're identical or fraternal.
My guess is that at least one is a girl.
Umm, let's see. My nausea and vomiting is dominating my every waking minute so I haven't thought about what I don't have
I'm thankful for no pregnancy-related acne. With my son, I never had any swelling either-was able to wear my wedding rings, etc. the whole time, so I'd love to have the same experience this time.
Update: not much new.....just trying to get through the first tri. I have another u/s a week after Thanksgiving and I'm really looking forward to that.
Happy Thanksgiving to all!
QOTW: I'm thankful that I never had any real morning sickness with either pregnancy. With my first (that ended in early m/c), I had a bit of nausea. Second (DS1), no nausea whatsoever, and with this one, a bit of nausea here and there that I finally figured out was due to taking my vitamins on an empty stomach.
35w6d today, and had my 36wk checkup. I am 1cm dilated and 75% effaced already.
I know that doesn't mean anything, but I'm taking it as a good, good sign, especially since I never progressed to 1cm with DS until right at 40wks. I have been having a ton of BH with this pregnancy, which I never had last time. In fact, at 40w3d last time, I had an NST which showed no cx at all. This time, I've been having the BH since about 25wks. And just in the past week or 2, they have become more frequent and much stronger. On Monday night I was able to time them - 5-6 minutes apart! Not painful at all, and the all-over kind, not just lower ab. And after timing them for an hour I laid down on my left side and they went away, so I knew they weren't "real" ones, but still - it's so different from my last pregnancy and I can't help but be a little excited about the progress this time!
I just want to get through Thanksgiving, and get my house decorated for Christmas this weekend. Then, it's Game On! and baby can come any old time he pleases!
When 3 Became 4
Can you update me please? It's a girl
QOTW: I am thankful that I really didn't have much morning sickness this time around.
Update: I am doing great and so is she. Nothing much else to update except I am getting larger. I had to buy some maternity pants last night b/c my regular jeans are just not going to cut it much longer. Although I haven't gained any weight, my butt, thighs and stomach all seem much bigger now. Boo.
QOTW: I'm so thankful that my feet don't hurt this time around. When I was PG with Luke I was working in an office and wore heels most of the time and my feet ached--even after I got the granny dr. scholl's inserts. This time I'm either in tennies or barefoot so my feet actually look and feel normal. Also, this baby doesn't seem at all interested in hanging out in my ribs like Luke did and that is a HUGE blessing.
Updates: Well, looks like I passed my GD test! For routine screenings like that "no news is good news" at my dr's office. So hooooray!! I was really worried that I'd miss out on all the holiday goodies. And speaking of, looks like I'm going to have to enjoy them in moderation or graze all day. I'm already running out of room when I eat and I still have 10ish weeks go to! Eeek!
Oh, good one! Same for me too - this boy and his bump are way low, so while I occasionally have issues catching a good, deep breath, the constant dull ache in my ribs and occasional foot jab to the diaphragm are not present this time. However, I've traded it for the constant, uncomfortable-but-not-quite-painful feeling of lugging around a watermelon in my pelvis. It's a trade-off I'll take, happily.
When 3 Became 4
Lots of T&P to Tiffany.
QOTW: I am so so glad I have been lucky enough to not have any nausea! It was really the one thing I was dreading about pregnancy. It seems strange to me to, b/c I tend to get sick to my stomach very easily.
Update: Nothing new here really. Feel like I am definitely starting to show, but its kinda that point where you cant really tell if its a baby bump or just fat. Bought some maternity clothes over the past week and loving the mat jeans! I scored a pair of Paiges for $20 at a consignment store, so happy about that!
QOTW: I am thankful I didn't have bad ms with either pregnancy. I also didn't have bad acne with either one.
UPDATE: Getting a little bigger every day. Students are still asking me all shy-like if I am pregnant. I am having a hard time sleeping already. I've started to put the pillow between my knees, but I think my pillow is too firm as I wake up and my thighs are killing me. I guess I will have to go to the squishy body pillow I have. Other than that, not much else to report. Got more done on the mural for L's room. Every time I get more done, I feel that much closer to moving him out and being able to think of the nursery as the new baby's room.
