Trouble TTC

Random body question

Do any of you have slight lumps, almost might even just be fatty tissue, right above your pelvic bone? I was concerned over this a year ago and asked my OBGYN about it and he said it was probably nothing but ordered an u/s for me which revealed nothing. Then he said it might be endo, but he wasn't too concerned to check.

Well, every once in a while I feel pressure in that area - like when I hold my gut in. And this morning when I pressed there, it was tad tender. Anyhoo, I have had this for over a year and they don't appeat to be growing, it's just annoying at times and I am now getting concerned over everything because of my IVF cycle coming up.

Any of you ladies experience this or have advice?

Re: Random body question

  • yes!! I keep trying to pinpoint where in my cycles I have this but..I do too! it sometimes feels like little round fatty cysts or cartilage even...its so weird...I have cycsts but with PCOS they arent big enough to feel topically, I also have suspected endo but not yet confirmed............they dont really hurt at all for me I just notice these little bumps almost like a marble or something...sometimes it feels like maybe a.....swolen lymph node but its nothing. u/s showed its nothing. mine go away and come back go away and come back....I have no idea either.

Have you mentioned it to your RE??

  • This is interesting.  For probably a decade I notice what feels like a cyst near my tail bone that comes and goes...maybe I should take it more seriously.  I know I've asked (but it's been years) my ob/gyn about it before and they weren't concerned about it.  Maybe I should bring it up again at my next RE apointment.

    TTC Since 10/10
    Hashimoto's Hypothyroid & PCOS
SA: great & HSG: all clear
4 rounds of Femara + IUI All BFNs
    Sept 2012 IVF #1 = BFP! First ultrasound 10/30/12 it's TWINS!

  • I'm sorry you are dealing with this, but I am relieved to know I am not alone! I have not asked my RE (mainly because when I cycle I typically only see the nurse) but I plan to ask him when we go in for IVF!

My lumps are very similar to yours, but they don't go away, just every once in a while it's tender. If I find out anything, I will let ya know!

This is exactly how I would describe mine as well.  I actually have these same things on my lower back, around my tail bone.  I have had x-rays & mri's done.  I was told they were a form of a cyst.  My most recent doctor that I am seeing for back pain described them as a cyst, but said its kind of like muscle pulled away from the bone.  It all seems weird to me and it bothers me, but I don't really know what else to do about it??  I am glad I am not the only one.   Geesh being a women is a pain the ars sometimes!

This sucks that no one can tell us what this is, but I am relieved that I am not alone. I am just getting paranoid over everything lately! Thanks ladies!
