Elf on the shelf people

There is gonna be an Eld on the Shelf cartoon Friday at 7:30 on CBS. This is going to be our first year doing Elf on the Shelf and I think Nico will get a kick out of watching the cartoon and then getting his own Elf. 

 Also when do y'all break him out for the year. Right after thanksgiving? I plan on bringing it back from my work trip and starting it the first weekend in December.  

 Another thought. Let's share our elf pictures here on a daily/bi-weekly/weekly thread. I would love to see everyone's elf adventures.

    Thanks for posting about the show. I will make sure to DVR it.  Our Elf comes out after Thanksgiving.  I think this year the babies wont be as interested as they will in later years and the older kiddo will only be here for a week at Christmas.  So, there may not be many pictures this year but I would love to see everyone's adventures.

    I also pinned a list of ideas for the Elf to do during his adventures.

    I would have never known about elf on the shelf if it wasn't for y'all. I never did it when I was a kid but I'm so excited to do it next year for Jack. I think he's too young right now but we'll defiantly watch the cartoon.....well as much as a 15 month old will watch it.
