Well today was the day we have been dreading. Thankfully everything was okay with the baby and it's measuring right along but we got a terrible phone call. It is official that my husband has cancer. He is going in for surgery tomorrow at 22years old for inguinal lymph node dissection. He has Hodgkin's Lymphoma and will be starting treatments shortly after. The also believe that the cells have moved to his testicles and they will be scanned as well as the rest of his body Dec 1st for spreading.

We could really use some thoughts and prayers right now. I am stressed and worried. He is active duty army and they will be releasing him from the military early due to the disease. Which means on Christmas day, we will have to up and relocate to PA that is 8 hours away. Praying that this is a blessing in disguise and I know the Lord won't give us more than we can handle.

Thank you ladies! I really just needed to get this off my chest. I feel like everything is caving in.

Im so sorry that so much is being loaded on you right now. It must feel so overwhelming. It sounds like your husband is young and healthy and will be able to fight this hard.

I'm so sorry to hear this. I've never had to go through something like that, but have had many other struggles. Jeremiah 29:11 is my favorite Bible verse to hold on in hard times. God has his plans! He will take care of you!

So sorry to hear this, please keep us all updated. I can only imagine how scary this news must be at a time like this, but count your blessings and try to stay positive. God is good ALL the time, not only when things are going well, and he has a divine plan for you and your family. You can rest in that when worry creeps in. Whatever happens, God is going to take care of you and yours. Blessings and take care.

There are few words that will console you both right now - but know that many, many T&Ps are with you both during this challenging time. The fact that YH is in the army tells me he is strong and brave, which will help him in the fight. If it makes you feel ANY better, my aunt had Hodgkin's Lymphoma at 19 years old (almost 30 years ago) and went on to beat the cancer and have a family of five.

I know how stressful it can be trying to be strong for him yet feeling like everything is falling apart around you, and still trying to try to be stress free for the baby.

My DH's dad and aunt both had lymphoma and did great with some radiation, if that gives you any comfort at all! They have both been clear for a few years now.

Your dh will most certainly be in my prayers and thoughts. This is a tough time and I'm sure that the joy of the moment seems to be dimmed by the hard and scary moment of finding cancer. Keep us updated on his progress through chemo and let us know if there is anything that you need.
