Second child Christmas ideas

I feel so stinkin bad that I can't come up with anything to get for S2 for Christmas. I can think of a bunch of stuff for G, but his little bro is getting te shaft. We already have SO many toys by the pure nature of my parents spoiling G, that I can't think of anything that we don't already have.

He has plenty of clothes too.

HELP!!!

They still are into all the babyish toys that we had tons and tons of. Honestly I think we just threw up our hands and got Andrew one thing from Santa and let the Grandparents handle Cooper. Do you guys have one of those ball popper toys? My boys still love theirs and with Storm starting to walk he would have a ball chasing them around the living room.

If you have room in the backyard for either of these, we have the first one and it's a huge hit. We got it when Cooper was a bit over a year and he was easily able to climb on and ride.

Same boat exactly! I might get him his own Anywhere Chair. He really wants for NOTHING.

He has shown an affinity for firetrucks so maybe his own special firetruck (mind you we have 3 already).

I have no idea, it sucks! I might get him a potty, lol!

Last year #2 really didn't get much, and he didn't know the difference so I wouldn't worry about it too much. This year I have TONS of stuff on his list - the balance bike we never got big brother is going to be his big gift, but he has also started developing his own interests - big brother is obsessed with trains, but our little guy loves planes and construction trucks so we're getting him some truck books, a toy digger, maybe a play airport, etc. I wouldn't worry about it much this year - he'll enjoy tearing the wrapping paper and making a mess more than anything else, then focus on the things he likes that are different than what G liked at his age as he gets older.

I know my boys are the same age but we run into this quite often. S knows what he wants and he usually wants it now. A is quieter and I have to figure out exactly what will be new and exciting and keep him engaged. So last year, they ended up with tons of pjs. Kinda silly, I know but I went with the colors that they favored (if the boys don't have a favorite color, I'd use the ones that look best on each of them). Then we also had a couple of things that both of them could use: books, games and toys like foam blocks, puzzles, Duplos. This year I have stockpiled some specific things for each boy. S is still into everything red and Mario. So he's getting some clothes (new hat, shirts, pjs) and most likely a new game or book. A is getting some space & solar system stuff (poster, play rug, books, clothes). Joint gifts are little things that the two of them can take turns with again mostly games or movies, books.

Luka's first christmas he got melissa and doug wooden blocks. Totally kinda not appropriate for a 14 month old, but we only gave him one or two at a time, and I really wanted them for the KIDS... with 2, we definitely think about grow into toys, instead of right now toys...

You guys are great. And I really appreciate the recommendations. I'll show them to DH and see what he thinks. I had wanted to get S2 a cozy coupe, and I think we will for his second birthday. He's not as coordinated for one just yet, and really won't enjoy it right now.

The only other things I thought of were a harness buddy, socks, and shoes of various sizes to get us through the next year (especially now that we know his size and brand that fit)
