It's a 40's theme (ugh for a puffy prego) on a freaking aircraft carrier! how cool is that! I asked O to find out what to wear and this is what he found:
What should I wear?
This is a Go og le event, which means the range of appropriate attire spans from jeans to tuxedos. Please dress as you feel comfortable, keeping in mind that this is a special occasion. The event will primarily take place inside the hangars of the aircraft carrier, so please take into consideration that it may be a bit chilly. We have requested that heat lamps be provided to keep you warm.
*Please note that heels may limit your exploration of the ship, intrepid women may take off their shoes.

Still don't know what to wear, but I'm going to a party on a freaking aircraft carrier!
Re: My first Holiday party with the hubs!
I know what I'd be wearing: sparkly flats. Also tights and a cute sweater or my velvet blazer. (And, you know, some sort of outfit to go along with all that.)
Instead I'll just be wearing my jealous face about your awesome party! Have all the fun and report back, okay?

Which Carrier are you touring? Anyway, you do want to wear flats. If you are touring the ship, there will be ladders to navigate. I also suggest the tights so that there is no pearing (sp?) up the skirt. There are also a lot of tight places but very cool. The floors in some cases are very slippery and in others may be grated so heels will stick.
My exh was on the Enterprise and I got to tour it many times (official and unofficial). I loved the times I was able to go out to see on the family tours and the jets taking off were Top Gun worthy!
I hope you have a blast!!
Married and it feels so good!

Cute dress!
Not sure which one, it's across the bay in Oakland.
I'm super excited. Now if the babysitter will email me back
sparkly flats are totally going to make the cut
Another shoe option other than sparkly flats, which would be perfect also, is wedge boots. If they make black skinny jeans for maternity, those with a chunky sweater dress. (I saw yours was packed, but you're in an incredible shopping area. :P)
