Well he's gaining weight- he's 10lbs (which is still light- Enzo was 14 lbs at a month...) this is the good news- the "bad" news is that he favors his right side with his head - so I asked if the doc thought it could be torticolis.. so he started to examine him and he noticed a ridge on his head- so before he suggests PT or anything- we have to go to the ped neurosurgeon to rule out a "fused skull"...
*sigh*
Re: X's one month appt.
Yay for the weight gain!
How soon can you get in to see the ped neurosurgeon?
They cant get me in until the end of Dec but I'm on the cancel list...
Try calling as much as you can. They sometimes will bump you up if you are annoying enough! I speak from experience... lol
Evan just went through the same thing. At two months they told me not to worry - at four months they sent him for emergency x-rays and the ped was talking about skull surgery. It took us 2.5 weeks to get into the neurosurgeon at our local Children's Hospital. He reviewed the x-rays and told us his skull was not fused and he considered his case mild so won't recommend a helmet. To me it doesn't look "mild" but we're just working with keeping him off that side.
Sorry you have to deal with the stress. I'll keep him in my thoughts that all is well! Good luck!
