Our daughter only naps with us for short naps - thirty minutes to an hour. But, at childcare she naps for two-three hours. Humph. I asked her provider how she's getting her to take such long naps and she told me that she swaddles. We do that, too. I feel like she's at a great place, where she's getting lots of love...but I can't figure out why things are so different - especially since she's only in childcare two days a week..you think we'd both be seeing more of the same thing. Do any of your children/babies do this?
Re: Longer naps at child care?
YES! DH and I were just talking this weekend about how DS will nap for 1.5-2 (sometimes 3 hrs!) at my mom's house, but will only nap for 45min for us.
I think my mom's house is quieter than ours, but DH thinks he just knows there's not much to miss at Grandma's, so he naps longer.
