I've got a bottle rack by the sink and usually handwash the bottles b/c we go through so many I don't run the dishwasher that often. I'm so tired of bottles littering my whole kitchen (and I realize I have a long way to go!) I don't have tons of cabinet or counter space so I'm not sure which to give up. Any suggestions on where you store your bottles? Would it be better to pare down to less bottles and wash more often?

Re: Bottles on the kitchen counter
We have 12 8oz bottles, which I started washing in dishwasher at @ 4 mo (before then I would sterilize with microwave sterilizer). I set them to dry on the counter, on a dry mat thingy.
If you aren't using your dishwasher, and it is empty, how about using it for drying purposes, and that frees up counter space.

We had enough bottles to make a day's worth of formula and kept them filled in the fridge. After they were used, they went straight in the dishwasher, which got run every day. As we reduced the amount of bottles per day, we stored the extra bottles in a cabinet that had been designated for baby stuff.
I hate clutter on my countertops so storing them out on the counters was never an option for us. All we had out were 2 bottle warmers and those weren't really 100% necessary.
I ran all my bottles through the dishwasher. Then I had a cute square basket (large) that matched my kitchen with a liner. I stored extra bottles in that until the girls were down to about 3 bottles a day. At that point I moved them into the "kid cupboard."
I hate clutter on my counter as well, but the basket was cute so I didn't mind it. I was happy the day we got rid of it though!
It drove me crazy too, sometimes I'd put the drying rack on top of the fridge to get it out of my eyesight.
