LO is up from her nap at 5:00pm. Would it be too long to keep her up if we start putting her to sleep at 7:30? Of course, that means bath, pj, feed. She probably won't actually get put down til 8:00pm.

Re: How long does LO stay up before going to sleep?
I dont try to keep them up--but my wonderful son has decided today that he only wants / will take 2- 15 minute naps....I'm hoping its an early bedtime tonight (usually he goes to sleep around 11pm but I don't think I'm ready to take another 3 hours of Mr. Fussyface)
So LO sleep habits is stressing me out. He will sleep for long stretches at a time which is great. He also has his fussy times like all babies but I dont like him being up for long stretches at time.. longer than 2 hours. THen when hes up that long he becomes more hungry than tired since its coming up to that 3 -4 hour mark of the next feeding I also have tried to put him down when he is sleepy or shows signs of fatigue and more times then not he starts crying after 15 -20 minutes. He seems to fall asleep with less help from me when he is in the wing or infant seat, Usually in the infant seat he has no choice but to sleep as I am driving and cant comfort him.
I feel that I do have to rock and hold him more when I am putting him down in the crib. I am scared that rocking and holding to get to sleep will create a bad habit in the future and that will be the only way he can fall asleep. I know after 3 months they can sooth they are supposed to be able to sooth on their own. Anyone else having this problem? Am I crazy to think an almost 6 week old should be able to just fall asleep without any help from me or DH. HELP !!
everything I have read says you cant really sleep train less than 2-3 month olds. So your 6 week old needs help to fall asleep. He is too immature for self soothing.
no bad habits before 2-3 months.
