My little guy was born on October 15...

The night of October 14th my DD had a Girl Scout meeting so I took her, went to the store got dinner and went and picked her up with my DH. When we got home I was getting out of the car and grabbed the groceries. My water broke. I made my DH make me dinner still because I knew I needed to eat and they would not allow me to eat once I got to the hospital.

I arrived at the hospital at 8 pm and was admitted. 1 cm dilated and stating to soften. Having contractions regularly. I decided that it would be a good time to try and get some sleep as I knew I was in for a long night. Laying down was not a good idea it stopped my contractions. At 1 am they ended up starting pitocin. At 0630 I was still only 2 cm dilated. I was getting frustrated and was sore. I finally asked for some IV meds around 0900. Those made me sleep for a bit and I woke up in more pain. But still only maybe 4cm stretched. They couldn't give me anything else for pain for another 3 hours. So I had to wait until 1230. I took a shower and tried all kinds of stuff to help the pain. At 1230 they came in and gave more pain meds. I feel asleep for about 15 mins woke up feeling like I needed to push. I called for the nurse. Realized my husband had left the room and started to freak out. I told them to find him NOW. I ended up having to call him because he had gone outside and was not hearing the pages. Once he was up there I pushed 3 times and my son was born @ 1:03 pm on October 15th. He was 7 lbs 9 oz and 20 inches long.
