Crawling?

Who has a LO that is crawling? Henry isn't even close. Am I alone?

DD started about a week ago. She was on all fours rocking and army crawling on her belly for a good month leading up to the hands-and-knees movement. She's still slow and belly flops after a few feet.

I'm sure you're not alone! A friend of mine has a perfectly healthy, happy daughter who didn't crawl until 11m. Some babies are just not interested and crawling isn't a developmental milestone, so don't worry about it.

DD use to get up on her hands and knees but stopped doing it. She seems content scooting from room to room on her belly. I'm starting to wonder if she's going to ever crawl or if she'll be one of those babies who never does.

Like pp said, I wouldn't worry about it. All babies learn at their own pace. I've read plenty of posts on here about other babies who are doing things before DD but that's just the way it is. I try not to compare her to other babies her age, but sometimes that's hard to do.

Mine started crawling forward about 2.5 weeks ago. He was crawling backwards for about 2 weeks before that. At 5 months, people started saying "he is going to crawl soon", so I was surprised when he still wasn't crawling at 6 months. Now he is standing a cruising around...I won't hold my breath on walking soon.

mine rolls to get whatever he wants, I don't see him crawling anytime soon.

Nope, you aren't alone. Addie rolls all over and gets up on all 4s, but then she plops on her belly. LOL

My kidds just started crawling last night. But like a previous poster, he was doing the on the knees and rocking thing for a month at least.

I have one that's crawing and one that's not. DD started crawling a few weeks ago and is getting more coordinated and faster each day. She still belly flops after a few feet most of the time. DS is thinking about it, but doesn't have the coordination down yet. Mostly he lays on his belly and flaps his arms like he's swimming. He just started getting up on all fours, though, and he's pretty good at rolling and rotating to get where he wants to go. He'll figure it out in his own time. For now, DD thinks he's a speedbump for crawling over.

DD started crawling a month ago. At first she would crawl short bursts between her toys, but now she is all over the place. And she is really fast now, too!

Not even close. Just yesterday I was saying to my mom that I'm pretty sure he's thinking about crawling...I'm a mindreader like that

. Whenever I sit him up he rolls himself down onto his stomach like he wants to move. He doesn't get up on his knees yet or anything, but I think he's starting to realize that he's not going to get anywhere by sitting.

Emilie pushes herself up and will rock, and then push herself backwards, but she's not even close to moving the legs at all.

Kaitlyn started a week ago Sunday and getting better at it everyday. I know some babies skip the crawl and go right to walking. There is a little boy at church who was full on walking around 9/10 months old

Nate isn't crawling yet either. He'll get up on all fours and pretend that he's going to do something, but will then laugh and get back on his belly. He just recently started tolerating tummy time so I don't see him crawling soon. Part of me wants him to crawl, but the other part of me is okay with him being immobile just a little longer! I don't have to baby-proof everything just yet!

My LO is crawling and has been for about a month. Don't worry though - every kid is different. My daughter didn't crawl till she was 11 months and she's completely normal!

Not crawling and no where near it...heck, he's just finally getting the hang of sitting! But this is baby #2, I'm in no rush to have him move anywhere! The longer he stays put the better!!
