A month or so ago, someone posted about a good bra shop in Alexandria. I think it might have been Artslvr, but I'm not sure.
What's the name of the shop, and where is it located. I really need to go get new ones after work today, and I don't feel like driving to Vienna to go to Trosseau.
Thanks!
Re: Alexandria Bra Shop
The Full Cup
This shop was great. Although, I didn't have an appointment (I don't think it's required...maybe suggested) and just walked in and they were busy so my appointment seemed a little rushed but that didn't stop me from dropping $250. I would try calling this morning to see if they can take you today.
Yes, The Full Cup is great.
The Apple Seed in Old Town is also nice if you're looking for maternity/nursing intimates.
I looked at their website this morning, and it had an Alexandria location listed and a VA Beach location.
I just went to their site again, and the Alexandria location isn't listed. I googled them and got the phone number. The phone number has been changed to a 757 number which I assume is the VA Beach store.
Has anyone gone lately? I'll try to call the VA Beach number during lunch if I get a a chance.
I'm in Springfield, so I don't want to go into DC proper.
I'll just go Trosseau....it's no big deal. I've never had a problem there and they are always very helpful, etc. In fact, one time my last bra popped a wire, and I my DH works closer to it. I called the store and they got a bra out in my size and all he had to do was pay for it and go.
I was looking to see if there was something closer. Thanks for your help ladies!
The Full Cup in Alexandria closed at the end of September--I was on their mailing list and got the announcement--terrible news :-(
But I bought a few bras at Trousseau recently and was happy with them. The service wasn't as personal as it is at the Full Cup, but they do carry the range of sizes that I need. The lingerie department at Nordstrom is very good as far as customer service, but they really only carry the typical bra sizes that not everyone fits into. I wear (when I'm not pg) a 32FF and they tried to tell me that I should wear a 38DD, that it's equivalent...uh, no. Not even close!
