Wheels on the Bus

LO's favorite song right now is Wheels on the Bus. It's amazing what this song can help us do with LO. Anyway, MH was singing the song to LO tonight and I heard:

The dogs on the bus go woof woof woof...The cats on the bus go meow meow meow...the cows on the bus go moo moo moo.

Um, what kind of bus are you driving where dogs, cats & cows are riding? MH said, "um, we're singing the extended dance remix here. Do you mind?"

  • Too funny! We sing, "the daddys on the bus go snore, snore, snore." DS loves that one, as his daddy snores big time!

  • Too funny!! That song drive me BSC. I swear that's the only kids song my dad knows, and he's always singing it to the kids, tone deaf and off key. And he still gets the words wrong. At least your dh is creative!

    LOL!

We use this song to calm her down at night, to calm her down to take medicine, etc.

Last night he sang Old MacDonald to her. The farm now has monkeys, giraffes...I swear I heard something about hippos.

  • We have the best "Wheels on the Bus" book- have already gone through two copies of it. Everything in the book moves- a huge hit with toddlers. We're moving in two days and it's packed away or I'd grab it and let you know who the author of this version is.

  • One day I gave B some pastas, wheels and tortellinis mixed up with some peas and cheese. She only wanted to eat the wheels and was singing Wheels on the Bus, then asking for more wheels. When I ran out of wheels, she still hadn't touched the tortellini. I figured she like the wheels more because of the song so I started singing "the tortellinis on the bus say mangia mangia" and it worked like a charm, she ate all her tortellinis. She continues to sing about the tortellinis on the bus every time she sings that song, I think it's her favorite verse. Big Smile
