They are keeping me very very busy, this is the first time Ive been able to log on here! they were born 11-1-11 at 936 & 937pm. Levi Yorke 5lbs 5 oz 20.5" & Oliver Nesta 8lbs 20.5". I was induced but after a very long long day of labor I wasn't dilatating past 6cm and baby A, Levi was in distress so I had a emer c sec. Before all of that I had them place the epi cathetar with no meds in hopes to go natural but my ob said she really felt there was a risk of c sec since baby A wasnt growing as fast the past month and stressed that I get the epi med, after a couple of hrs I agreed to it, well it didn't work...about 2 or 3 hrs later they again said I really should have it, then I can rest a bit, after another hr I agreed, well they suspected that since the cathetar was placed early it may have moved and thats why it didnt work, they had another person take it out and just give me the epi, no cathetar,......that also didnt work! I said lets just go natural and if I have to go under i will, I just couldnt imagine another try! well then a little later they said baby A was in distress and offered the spinal, I was so ready to have them and so exhausted and in pain that I leaped at it and was rushed to OR. I was terrified it also wouldnt work but it did, what a strang feeling it was! They boys were healthy, baby A did have to spend 11 days in the NICU at another hospital which was very hard, he had some blood sugar issues and baby B just spent a day under the lights for jaundice. They are both home and doing well. There is still a ? if they are ID, all along they told me they were then at birth my ob said she thought they weren't, they have a good size difference so it also makes it hard to tell. I guess we'll jsut have to see!
I couldn't be happier to have them here, they are amazing and Ive never been so in love! I'll try to post pix soon!
