July 2012 Moms

Well, it was great while it lasted....

Sigh.  I thought I was going to be one of the lucky ones.  Last night my mom even told me it wasn't fair that I wasn't getting sick.  I think my luck has changed today.  It may just be because I haven't really eaten today, but I'm scared to eat because I'm worried that I'll just puke it up.  Oh well.  Guess it's my turn.

  • Can you try to eat something small and bland? I always get the most sick when I haven't eaten much. Maybe some saltines or toast or something?

  • I'm not home, otherwise I would.  I'm at school right now, and there's not anything terribly bland up here.  Thinking about getting some teryaki chicken and picking around the sauce until I feel like I can actually eat.
  • Definitely try to eat!  Even though I've been nauseous/gagging 24/7, it's so much worse once I've gone 2 1/2 - 3 hours without food.

  • If I don't eat every 2 hours I become nauseous, even if I am not hungry i make my self eat something. I always carry a snack with me everywhere I go b/c of that

  • I have learned eating small frequent meals helps a TON even if you feel you don't want to eat try. Most likely you will either feel better or get sick and then feel better. Gl

  • Good sign! ;)  I hate being sick but happy to know baby is doing well in there.  as other ladies have said, eat small snacks/meals often.  I keep saltines by my bed and eat a few before I get out of bed, it definetly helps.  It's hard to find foods that are appetizing to you when you're sick but it's best to eat and it'll make you feel better. also I have noticed hard candies; root beer barrels, jolly ranchers, etc help.

  • That's exactly when mine set in! I was miserable until I went to a wedding and literally drank everyone's water at our table. I felt so completely normal after that! Make sure you stay hydrated. I think I had gotten so bad because I stopped drinking enough (I got sick of water and seltzer and everything else is so caloric!) and then I got so dehydrated that I actually got turned off to water. If I'm ever feeling sick I down a huge glass of water and it gets a lot better!
  • I'm sorry that the m/s has hit for you. The past few days I found that sucking on a lemon candy or a peppermint have really helped with the nausea! They are pretty easy to carry along in your purse too!

  • Oh my gosh, I'm actually glad it's m/s and not something else-- your post title scared me! ;) Sorry you're dealing with it though, try to eat bland like everybody else said...saltines and ginger ale!
