Help on Names.. running out of time

Hi Ladies,

Its so funny that I have been prego for almost 38 weeks and we are still undecided...

Im going in for a scheduled C-Section this Friday for my twin boys and were undecided on one name... Let me know your thoughts? Austin Michael is a definite.. just need to decide between Eli and Sebastian

I prefer Eli over Sebastian.

For what it's worth, when I went in for my scheduled c-section, we only had one name. B wasn't named until Day 3. Honestly, if we'd decided ahead of time we likely would have ended up with a different name. Her name fits her so perfectly that I can't imagine if we'd gone with the other one!

So waiting to see is not necessarily a terrible thing! I just didn't let the nurses write A's name on her bed until we had B's. Smile I kept thinking of one of my fave lines from A Leage Of Their Own - "This is my daughter Dottie. And this is my other daughter, Dottie's sister." Hee hee.

My DH's favorite name was Sebastian-but I got stuck on the nickname. I am a nickname person, and I couldn't come up with one that I liked, and I felt like with a name that long I'd want one to call him. Very random-but that's why we chose not to go with Sebastian!

Oh-and DH wanted to give him the nickname "Basher". We have a very polish last name, so there would be no way it would EVER work. Big Smile

So my vote is for Eli!

Sebastian is beautiful! I have a friend who is called "Seb" and I like that nickname too. I also think it goes well with Austin.

We call my DS2 "Basher" a lot - its just what he does!

We didn't solidify our names until the babies were born. It helps to look at them and imagine them with the name - some just don't fit! I bet you could look at the newborn faces and know pretty quickly what their names are.

Also, I've found that it is really hard for a DH to argue with a woman lying on an operating table or who just pushed out his children!

I vote you wait to meet your little guys. I like both names. Our daughters name fell right into place but we were down to 2 names also for our son. We didn't decide till I was in recovery and we got to spend time with him. His full name is Elijah but we call him Eli.
