Nintendo DSi XL and/or iPod Touch (this is Joe's idea and is still up for debate) - we haven't figured out if we will do both or just one
Angry Bird board game and Angry Bird card game (this will be for both of them)
For her stocking - lip glosses, bath & body works (shower gel/lotion), underwear, accessories for whichever electronic device we decide on, Angry Bird plush (notice a theme!)
Not sure what else. Actually, not much more than that. Probably a few small (ie. inexpensive) items (probably Barbies/clothes) so that she can open more than just 2-3 things. The older they get, the more expensive Christmas gets (and the fewer items they get)! Goodness! LOL
We got Grace a pony toy that she wanted, a Rapunzel doll, Lite Sprites, a Fijit Friend, VTech Innotab, an art desk for her bedroom and art supplies and crafts.
We are probably going to get her the Silly hair LaLaLoopsy but that is a hot commodity right now. Her birthday is in February, so I'll get it then if I can't find it for X-mas.
My mom got her a Happy Napper...I know she was dying for that.
DD is 4.5. She asked for an Am Girl dolls she's getting that as her big gift. Then a book, fortamajig/playmobil/DVD to share with her brother, art supplies and that's it.
From us: Princess stamp set from PBK, a couple of nightgowns, a preschool workbook (she loves to do the worksheets) and probably a book and a puzzle or a few other small things
From Santa: neckwarmer, Cars 2 DVD, and possibly a ballerina costume?? That is what she is asking Santa for, so I suppose I'll probably try to find one.
From us, iPhone (used, from Craigslist), with headphones and Hello Kitty case.
From Santa, her own Wii-mote, a Doodle Bear, a Wii game, Melissa & Doug stamp set and an art pad, and the usual stuff like new toothbrush, undies, stickers, barrettes, pajamas, etc.
Re: What are you getting your 5 year old DD for the holidays?
Kanani, American Girl doll and Kanani's dog
The blue LaLaloopsy Doll

Nintendo DS lite and some games
Pop the pig game
Other stuff on her list is: two way radio, dairy queen ice cream maker, doll house.

And then together, she and DD#2 will get the set of Disney Princess dolls (this: https://www.target.com/p/Disney-Princess-Ultimate-Doll-Collection/-/A-10840220) from Santa. I like to do one gift from Santa to both of them and then they get stocking stuffers from Santa as well.
We aren't getting her much for Christmas because our families both go overboard on the gifts and her birthday is also in December.
From us and the grandparents she'll be getting:
American Girl doll, salon chair (from Target) and AG table
Bike
Backpack
Playmobil ambulance
Artsy stuff, drawing books, etc.
She's also getting a book a day (mostly early readers) every day of December.
