moms of 2+ stroller

Sometimes lurker with a stroller question.

I've been advised to get a double stroller for when the baby comes. I have a 2-1/2 year old. Did you upgrade and was is that much better? I love our old stroller and I'm kind of a minimalist (re: I have a small house). Thanks.

    I think it depends on how #1 is like.  Does she like to walk more than ride?  If she prefers to walk then it might be pointless to get a double.  If she does like the ride then based on her age you could possibly look into a Sit 'n Stand.  We have the Britax B-Ready.  We bought a double because DD was barely 2 when DS was born so she was still a bit young for the Sit n Stand but still needed to have the option of riding or walking.  The B-Ready is not wide like the side-by-side ones or long like the tandem ones.  It's still larger than your average single but it is a double so that is to be expected.  If you do feel that a double will work for your lifestyle you may want to look into that one.

    My DD still wanted to ride in the stroller quite a bit, so I ended up selling our stroller and getting a B-ready. I love it!

    I thought about the sit n stands, but I really wanted to have two full seats.  My three year old still loves to go in the stroller at times, relax and sometimes nap.  Other times she likes to walk.

    I love my Baby Jogger City Mini double.
