Would you mind sharing your current schedule, please? I'm trying to change my babes bottle/feeding/napping schedule and I was hoping to see how other kids' schedules are/were at this stage.
Can I ask what you fed them for lunch and dinner? Were they feeding themselves by 10 months? My guys are still on thick purees and although they are only 8 months adjusted, I think I need to get the, self feeding.

Hahahaha! My guys were the WORST solids eater EVER. Back at 10 months, we were still doing stage 2s with an occasional stage 3. The only solids they would eat back then were cheerios and puffs.
Seriously, I stressed out big over it. But like everyone told me (and of course I didn't listen), they'll eat when they are ready!
Me: PCOs DH: Perfect!
4 Fresh IVF cycles + 1 FET where embies didn't survive the thaw = 2 perfect little men!
sFET 11/9/11 - Beta 11/18 BFP!

LOVE this board! Thanks so much for your replies! I'm trying to get them away from bottle = nap, but it seems like our schedule needs to change in order to do that. It helps to have other ideas of what might work. Thanks again.
This is a rough schedule. Today they both slept until 7:45 so I pushed everything back by a half hour. When this happens I still wake them up from nap #2 by 5 p.m. so that bedtime doesn't move. But generally this is how our day goes. HTH!
wake/bottle - 7
breakfast (followed by bath) - 8
playtime
nap #1 - 10:30
wake - 12:00
lunch - 12:30
playtime
bottles - 3
nap #2 - 3:15
wake - 5 p.m.
playtime
dinner - 6:30
(after dinner we let them play while we clean up and then they watch a BE until it's time for bottles.)

My guys are not adjusted age, mind you, and I do think that makes a difference!
My kids eat A LOT. I think it's a little atypical how much they eat, but I don't have anyone to compare to... They jumped from the 10% range at 6 months to the 30% range for weight at 9 months and it's all because they are hungry little monsters.
They started on finger foods at 7 months as practice and by 9 months they were on all table foods. They actually get pissed off if you try to feed them by spoon now (unless that spoon has yogurt on it, LOL). I remember thinking at 7 months that they would never feed themselves. But I kept practicing with them and the better they got with the finger foods the more they wanted them.
I introduced a third meal at 7 months (lunch) and it was all finger foods. I felt like since they were used to eating only twice a day, giving them one meal to practice was good because if they got it, then great! and if they didn't no worries about them being "hungry". It took about 4-5 weeks for them to really get good at picking food up and eating it. Around 8 months I started adding finger foods to their other meals and then by 9 months we transitioned.
Give them time and practice! They'll get it
Here's what our meals look like now (at 6 and the beginning of 7 months it was all cereals and purees!)
Breakfast is usually eggs or pancakes or french toast with fruit (blueberries, strawberries, pineapple, etc.) and yogurt.
Lunch is usually a grilled cheese or a quesadilla with veggies and meat "hidden" in them. Then things like green beans, carrots, beans or edamame and I let them have fruit for "dessert".
Dinner is usually tortellini, meat (fish, chicken, turkey), veggies (sweet potatoes, squash) and fruit for dessert again.
Mine are just 9 months tomorrow, but this is ours.
7 wake up, nurse (if I'm lucky. Sometimes they're up closer to 6. Blech. I keep with the rest of the schedule, though.)
8ish- eat breakfast- regular oatmeal, fruit, yogurt, eggs, something like that. Sometimes I nurse them again before nap if they were up at 6 and I want them to eat again before nap.
9- nap.
10- wake (10:30 if I'm REALLY lucky.) Nurse.
11-12- eat- they eat pretty much anything, so I feed them whatever. They jutst had mac and cheese for the first time and LOVED it.
12:30- nurse, again depending on whether they woke too early.
1- nap.
2-wake (again, 2:30 if the sleep gods are with us.) nurse.
3:30- SOME times if their naps were crappy, I squeeze in a 3rd nap. Short. 20-30 minutes to get them through until bedtime.
4ish- nurse.
5-6- Dinner. Usually some version of whatever we're having for dinner.
6-6:30 depending on level of crankiness, start bath, nurse and in bed by 6:30-7.
Wake around 4-4:30 to nurse.
I pretty much nurse them on demand, 4-6 times a day.
Holy smokes! I can't believe how few bottles your kids take! Is that a BFing bottle feeding thing? Mine would never last that long without nursing.
As for solids, mine definitely eat more solids at this age than my oldest did. I think I'm more tolerant of a little gagging as a normal part of learning to eat solids, whereas with my oldest, I'd back off at the slightest gag. Also, I started giving them things to gnaw on around 6 months (think big pieces of raw broccoli). Not for eating purposes, but to get them used to different texture. Anyway, I just started with pea sized food and helped them eat, hoping to move towards just putting it on the table for them (because I have too much to do at meal times!) Now they mostly self feed unless I'm giving them yogurt or something.
Re: Niki and MOMs of 10 month olds (ish)
I think I'm supposed to be adding another feeding of solids in here somewhere but this is our current schedule.
6:30 wake up, bottle
8:30 nap until 10
10:15 yoghurt and fruit
12:30 bottle
2:00 nap until 3:30
3:30 veggies
6:00 bath
6:30 bottle
7:00 bed
I'm thinking I may move the morning meal before their nap and then serve them lunch and push back the evening meal.
Back then... it was:
7:30 - breakfast yogurt and cheerios
9:00 - bottle
nap
11:30 - lunch
2:00 - bottle
nap
5:00 - dinner
7:00 - bottle
sleep

Our schedule at 10 months was:
6:45 wake up
7:00 bottle
8:00 cereal
9-10 nap
10:00 morning snack
12:30 lunch
1:00 bottle
1:30-3:30 nap
4:00 afternoon snack
6:00 dinner
7:00 bottle and bed
I think around 10 months we were starting to transition to table and finger foods for meals.
Thank you, I needed to hear this!
