When I went to MFM a week ago, baby boy measured almost a pound bigger than baby girl (2lb5oz vs 3lb2oz). Blood flow was good for both babies, so MFM said to take it easy and try to lay down a lot. He said since blood flow was good, there was no reason for the weight difference, probably 1 is gonna be big and the other will be a little small. He never mentioned bedrest.
When I was leaving, the u/s tech asked if he put me on bedrest, and I said no, and she said she was surprised.
Anyone experience this? What was your outcome, or did your Dr have different thoughts about it? I go back Nov 29 and I'm scared he'll put me on BR if she hasn't grown. TIA!
Re: di-di pregnancy question
At 27 weeks my a baby only weighted 2.1lbs but his brother weighted 3lbs, Baby a's cord blood flow was diastolicly absent and i was sent to L&D. i stayed 3 days and after resting baby a's flow was still slightly restricted but no longer absent so i was placed on modified bedrest and taken out of work. i am now monitored 2-3x/week for flow, bpp, and nsst. Today we go back to see if baby a is growing so i am hopeful that he has gained atleast 10 ozs. As long as the flow does not reverse and baby a gains weight we stay pregnant but if flow reverses or he stops gaining we will deliver. it is great that your flow is good...di di means they can be as different as any 2 other siblings so it is possible one is big and the other small. It is good that your doctor is monitoring you and it is good that you are already 29 weeks because really we are getting close! Good luck!
Aw I'm sorry you're going thru that! GL!
My guys were different weights on u/s towards the end. The doppler blood studies were good, so they had me rest a lot!
When they were born, they were 5.10 and 6.2. So not as huge a difference as they had thought.
Good luck hun!
