Question for you lovely ladies--I wrote awhile ago that my DS may be teething--still not sure bc his symptoms are what any baby his age has-chewing on hangs, slobbery, fussy etc. However he has had these 2 kind of red irritated bumps on opposite sides of his lower gum area like teeth may appear there. But if he did get his first teeth there it would be either his canine teeth or lateral incisors which makes me question what the bumps are Anyones LO's get these as their first teeth? TIA!

Canines are usually among the last teeth to come in. Incisors will come first, then first molars, then canines and then second molars. Of course there may be some kids that are exceptions to that rule, but that is the normal order of teeth eruption.

My son got his lower centrals this week and poor kid has been a mess When talking to my neighbor about it, her LO got her max canines first. Good luck!
My dtr got her bottom middles then her two lateral front teeth (not canines, but the ones between the canines and the front two?)...we called them her bat girl teeth:) Her front two came in shortly after.

Re: Canine or Lateral Incisors First Teeth?
It's typical that babies get either their top or bottom middle two teeth first, but anything is possible. All babies are different.
DD got her top middle two teeth, followed by the bottom middle, then the top lateral incisors.
