Volunteer Opportunities?

DH and I are seriously in need of an attitude adjustment about the holidays.  We thought volunteering might get us "in the spirit."  I have no idea where to find such opportunities though... we'll do anything as long as it comes with some warm fuzzy (we'd prefer not to dig in trash Wink) any suggestions or contacts??? 


Married October 28, 2006, TTC since March 2009 IUI #1-8 w/ clomid = BFN
IVF # 1 May, 2011 = BFP!!! Stillbirth at 26 weeks (placental failure/severe IUGR)
FET #1 February, 2012-- BFP! Beta #1=84 Beta #2= 207 Beta #3= 3,526 Lilypie Angel and Memorial tickers

    Check out volunteermatch.org.  I'm not sure if they have one-off type opportunities on there though, I usually just see ongoing stuff.

    I know the junior league is looking for volunteers for Coats for kids on distribution day.

    Coats for Kids is a great event to volunteer for. Distribution day is hard - seeing so many families lining up to get coats for their children, but it did make me feel incredibly thankful for all that I do have.
