Rear Facing Car Seats for 2008 Subaru Impreza Wagon

Does anyone with twins have suggestions for RF car seats that would fit in our little Subaru?  DH does not want to purchase another car.  I am 5'6 and he is 6'0. 

My girlfriend who has twins graciously gifted us with her car seats- Graco Snugride 32.  Sadly, these seats do not fit in our tiny car w/o causing us to drive with our knees in the steering wheel.

    No advice here, just sympathy. We've driven both a Hyundai Elantra and a Toyota Corolla, and my 6'3" DH couldn't drive either comfortably with a RF car seat behind him. We tried the standard 22 lb limit Graco Snugrides as well as a Britax (Boulevard, I think?).  I think the car seat situation was the most unexpected issue we had to confront as we were preparing for our twins.

    I think the maxi cosi carseats are among the smallest. Chicco key fit is another one to try

    At 6' tall . . . I'm sorry to say it, but you may want to consider a new car. The convertible car seats (which you'll need after they grow out of their infant carriers) are only bigger which means even less space for you & DH up front.
