My hubby and I just did it over the weekend it has been a really long time since we last did it. We're talking like late July and the LO was born Aug 24. I really wasnt in the mood but I figured our dry spell had to end and soon.
How was your first time? For me it was ok. No real pain or anything like that. I just wasnt in the mood.
Re: How long did you wait to have sex after birth?
We only waited 3 1/2 weeks (which I'm kind of embarrassed to say because that sounds gross). I was lucky enough to have healed very quickly. I was taking little one for walks a couple days after he was born. It wasn't crazy sex by any means, but it was good.
6 weeks - waited until after the post partum dr's apt. It hurt a little bit (I had an episiotomy) but it wasn't terrible, and no pain after the second time or so.
I'll let you know when we finally do it
I had a really bad tear, then the pain came back, and now we're just terrified of getting pregnant again... it sucks.
This, exactly.
Pretty much this. I had an appointment closer to 5 weeks, though, when the doc gave me the all clear that my uterus was back up to par.
Yep, this for me. Waited for the all clear and then was scared..lol
Sounds silly being afraid of sex right
It gets better every week though...Guess the dr really liked dh and did add those few extra stiches!

We still haven't, although I swore to myself that we will soon. DH and I are both exhausted all the time, running around after a toddler and dealing with DS, who still wakes up 2-3 times a night. Plus we are both working full time, and with me BF'ing I just have no drive whatsoever and he doesn't really either.
I think part of me is scared though too. After our first DC was born it hurt really bad when we did it for the first several times. It honestly took about 6 months after for me to feel normal again down there. I guess I'm just afraid that's going to happen again, although I didn't tear this time at all.
