Two Under 2

So after today's news, I'll be joining you wonderful moms/moms to be

This is my first time on this board... So, Hello to all of you and I hope you are all having a wonderful day so far!

I went to my Gyno today just to get my yearly check and he informed me that I was 4 months and a week pregnant. I had NO idea I was even pregnant, I was still having my period and haven't had any signs of being pregnant.

Has this ever happened to any of you after having a rough first pregnancy? (DD was 6 weeks early and I was on bed rest for the week before she came. She also spent a week in NICU with pneumonia and jaundice.)

I'm still in shock and have NO CLUE how I'm going to handle all of this responsibility... I have a 15 month old wonderful little girl and a brand new littler of stray puppies...

Any advise from you wonderful ladies on how to stay sane?

    !
Well thank you... That is an upside about finding out your pregnant late. Congrats of your third one almost being here!
  • Well, Congrats!!! Overwhelming I am sure, but 2u2 is fun!!

Just because I am nosey, did you have an US today, or how did your OB date the pregnancy?

  • Congratulations!  I found out I was pg with # 2 when I was 18 weeks along.  I was BF # 1 and (I thought) hadn't started my cycle again.  I got pg the first time I O'ed after having DD #1, she was 8 months old when I got pg.

It takes a little while to get used to the fact that you're having another, but it will grow on you.

I did have an Ultrasound and it was weird to see that everything measured out and to hear a SUPER strong heart beat after knowing that I still menstruated the whole time...

I didn't have m/s with DD#1 either though, I guess I'm just lucky that way. I did get killer headaches and false labor closer to the end though...

  • Congrats.  2u2 is a lot of fun mine are just starting to play together and it's awesome.  Having them so close mine are 10 months apart #1 never had to adjust to having a new member of the family because he was so little.  It's really been fun..

Mine will be 20ish months apart so a little while but I'm slowly getting used to it. We just got DD#1 out of Diapers and now we are going to have to dive right back into them...
