Anyone else watch this show? Did you see the episode with the bikes? I like this family, but I was pretty annoyed with the mom for the way she acted at the bike shop. The way she was pressuring the dad to buy the bikes for the quints... and generally taking the focus away from eliot since the trip was supposed to be about her. And is it just me, or are those the strangest bikes? I feel like the reason they had so much trouble with them is because you couldn't properly sit on it and it had no wheels. A tricycle would have been a much better option in my opinion.
Re: quints by surprise
Agree. I've always thought the name of that show was dumb. Spontaneous ID quints ... now that would be a surprise.
Their "surprise" was that they triggered with 5 mature follies the first time, and they got Elliot. They did it the same way the second time and they got 5 babies.
We did an IUI like them with only two mature follies, and originally got pregnant with triplets, so it definitely was a surprise considering we were talking about moving on to IVF because we were sure it wasn't going to work. I was surprised I was pregnant at all, nevermind with triplets! My RE actually apologized to us at the appointment.

Lol I totally thought you were announcing that you were having quints by surprise!
I don't know much about how they got the quints (although I do watch the show) but those bikes are supposed to be the next big thing. They are called balance bikes. I have taken care of kids that use them and they are supposed to just help them learn how to balance on a bike so they can avoid training wheels. I personally don't get it, but whatever.
Yes! Totally agree! I get what people are saying that even though they must have known it was possible, it doesn't mean they EXPECTED it, but it's still not enough of a surprise to justify the title. That's all I'm sayin'!
I like that show, except lately it seems like they blow so much money in every episode. First it they bought toddler beds, then tiny desks (completely unecessary in my opinion!), tickets to a football game, private ballet lessons, and then those bikes. Skuut bikes are like $100 each and they bought five without batting an eye. What about buying 2 bikes and making the quints take turns?
Are these the same people who were having financial troubles when their little ones were babies?
Yeah, they had to move to a smaller house because of financial issues. Although their version of a smaller house is like my version of a huge house...
