Here's a weird one... Anyone else?

Has any of you ladies experienced a "pop" noise or a "click" inside your belly, especially when baby is moving around lots? I had it happen a couple times so far(within the last 3-4 weeks) and in the last say 4-5 days, Even DH has heard it! And it almost feels like a knuckle crack under water...Weird?!

Last night, while I was laying in bed, LO was moving around like crazy and it happened TWICE. It has totally weirded us both out.

I looked on google...Not always a good thing, and they mentioned gas bubbles popping? or perhaps baby's joints and ligaments "popping". No one had any answers from a medical professional. Could this be perhaps, with all the hormones( that loosen our bones and muscles) that baby could experience this too? I mean, he or she is SUPER cramped in there now? I am going to ask my OB, but in the meantime, We are both totally creeped out. And worried baby's hips are dislocating or something? Gross right?

  • I experienced this earlier when LO was moving around a lot and thought it sounded like when someone cracks their fingers. I didn't know if it was on of my ribs or if I was just hearing things but it has happened more than once to me and it freaked me out a little. I even sat up and back a little to give her a little more room, I thought I was squishing my poor baby all cramped up in there!

  • This has happened to me a few times over the last few days. Last night was the worst. LO got her foot hooked under my ribs and when she got it free, there was a popping sound! It was so gross! Other than that, I have no idea what it is, but I wish it would stop!

  • I have it too, mine started around 32 weeks though. I mentioned it to by OB but she didn't seem to think it was that strange. She said it was rare but that no one really knew what it was. Maybe your doc has more answers? It happens to me now pretty much all the time, DH thinks it's so funny.

  • So I just got back from my appt. And my OB didn't really have much to say. She kind of chuckled and said not to be too concerned. It could be a gas bubble or something in our intestines. Also could be the cartilage in our pelvis, cracking since things are starting to spread. And with all the fluid we have in our belly's the sound could really be coming from anywhere. So not to be concerned, it is most likely not baby's hips or joints dislocating... But no real answer :P
