What would you serve?..[Poll]

Re: Clicky Poll: Party Food

  • I would do lasagna if you want italian.  That way you can assemble them ahead of time and just throw them in the oven.

  • I voted for the first option but I would think about Kirkland's frozen Lasagna. It's honestly very good and would be a lot easier for you to handle. Just an idea.

I thought about that too, but I hate lasagna so I wanted to make something that I enjoy too.
  • Maybe a veggie spaghetti option too?

  • I voted for chicken spaghetti. I use (and love) Pioneer Woman's recipe. I've fed that amount of people with it before and it's always a HUGE crowd pleaser and pretty much the easiest thing you can do for so many people. It's easy to make the day or two before, cover and then heat when you're ready.

  • I would offer a vegetarian option too.  With 35 people there, there are probably going to be a few vegetarians.  Maybe you can do a veggie alfredo as well?

  • If you want Italian, I think spaghetti would be a fairly simple option, but I would probably just do a marinara sauce and have meatballs on the side for people to add if they want.  But with the chips and queso, etc. I think a taco bar is always an easy option for parties, and you can serve a lot of people inexpensively.  You really don't have to cook anything except the meat, and then have beans, cheese, lettuce, tomato, sour cream, salsa, etc. and tortillas and/or shells, and then people can assemble their own tacos, nachos, burritos, etc. however they want.  We did this for Kennedy's birthday fiesta this year and it was super easy and it turned out great.  Just another option...

Great ideas!  I hadn't even thought of going tex-mex with it.
  • You could also do a veggie and a meat chili too - kinda footbally
  • Italian beef in the crock pot is easy and goes over well. Doesn't help for non-meaters though. I use fly's recipe and just use the crock instead of the oven.

I originally voted for the two pastas, but then read the responses and would like to change mine to this. You can do a bunch of cockpit chicken (maybe borrow a second one, you can borrow mine if you need.) Then if you want to saut? a couple of squash and make sure to have beans, the vegetarians can make tacos too.

    Easy and yummy.
