We currently just have a City Mini Double. This weekend, I took DS to the mall while DD stayed home with DH. I was thinking it would have been easier to have a single stroller to use for trips like this, but I'm just not sure how often we would use it.
If you have a single stroller, do you use it often? Worth getting one or just use the double when you only have one LO?

Re: Anyone have a single stroller, in addition to double?
Not yet a MoM, but my cousin w twins has a nice double stroller and two cheaper umbrella strollers.
That way, if they bring the boys out separately (or when they went to DC as a family, each mom took 1 boy in 1 stroller), it's easier.
I have a couple single strollers from my first daughter that I haven't used once since the twins were born. If I take just my oldest, she doesn't need a stroller, and if I take just one twin somewhere, it's usually to a store with a shopping cart.
In your situation, I'd probably just get a cheap $20 umbrella stroller to have.
Absolutely!
I actually just picked up my second single. Now that they are older, we do a lot of 1:1 time. It's actually easier than 2:2 time.

Isn't that the truth?! I had such a fun time at the mall with my little buddy
And he seemed perfectly content. Looking forward to lots of mommy/son & mommy/daughter dates in the future
Which single strollers do you have? Can't decide whether to go cheap or not....

this exactly! As much as I would love 1 on 1 time, it just does't happen that much.

I'm a little bit of a nut job so you probably won't want to go by me. I have the Bumbleride Indie Twin as my double stroller so for my singles I have a Bumbleride Indie Single and a Bumbleride Flyer. My strollers all match and I can switch all the accessories on and off. I was just saying ot dh on sunday that I'm going to take a picture of my fleet of Bumblerides and send it to them.
Yeah. I'm crazy.

i have a single b/c i had one child before my twins- and yes, it comes in handy.... it's also why i think the BJCSelect is the best stroller- b/c you can use it as a single so easily- no need to change what is in your car, etc.
you can always buy a single super cheap on CL to have around.
We got a $10 umbrella stroller off CL - works great for when we need it in a pinch.
I do have a cheap single umbrella stroller but I use it for daycare pickup since my husband drops off with the double stroller and we didn't want to buy two double strollers just for daycare. I just put one in the stroller and carry the other out to the car. It has also come in handy on the rare occasion I'm out with just one child though. I personally feel it was worth the $20 investment.

I was going to get a cheap umbrella stroller but I treated myself to this nicer stroller and we hope (fingers crossed) to use it someday if we have #3.I haven't used it yet but it seems really nice.
