Grandparent visit bust
My dad lives in AZ and I live in CA. He comes to visit once a year. He comes up to watch the big CAL vs. Stanford Game and sqeezes in a visit with me and my family during this visit. We meet up at my Uncle's house.
My dad and his wife were so not interested in visiting us. We were there less than an hour when I overheard my dad walk into another room and tell my uncle he needed a break (meaning away from my kids). They spent more time in the TV room watching a football game than with us.
My kids had a great time, but I felt really hurt by the whole visit. I guess my expectations were too high. When they came last year we all had a great time. Sigh
Sorry, I just have to vent somewhere. They just don't realize what awesome grandkids they have. Their loss.
