Yo Gabba Gabba Live

Who's been before? How long is the show? At what age would you take your LO to see see it?? DD looooves it on TV, but I'm guessing she's too young to sit still for a couple of hours... If it's just one hour, she might make it through though.

FYI - Travelzoo has a deal today to get $20 tickets

Re: Yo Gabba Gabba Live

  • we bought tickets for ruby and her dad to have a date night. i will not be letting him know that the tickets are on sale a week later. i have no idea how long the show is, but i think that at 3, ruby will be able to handle it. i cant imagine it would be much longer than an hour though.

  • We took dd last year (she was 2 and 10 months) and she loved it. Everyone was up and dancing around, so she never got antsy. I can't remember exactly how long it was- there was an intermission... Maybe the first half was 45 min and the second was 30 min.

Anyway, it was worth it for us. We all had a great time.

  • Oh, I wanted to add, there were lots of younger kids there.  It's very loud and no one is expected to sit quietly, so I think she would be okay.
  • So is it an open floor and kids dance around, or seated with some space? How's it laid out?

I've never been, but am considering it now so I've already looked it up.  Here is the floor plan for the show.

The $19.50 tix are the "bowl seats", the blue ones in the stands behind the floor seats.  I've been to hockey games there, and there's room to stand in front of your seat and probably wiggle around a bit.

Per the Cedar Park Center website, the floor seats are $45 + taxes and fees = $52, and these bowl seats are regularly $35+tax/fees = $42.

  • i think if they have it next year we will go then. m loves it, but i don't think she would sit through a performance. they came last year, so i bet they will be back next year.

It's seated and the kids would dance in front of (or sometimes on) their chairs. we were on the floor, which was good and bad. We were on an aisle, so DD had space to move. She was also able to rush to the stage and sit on Biz's lap (yes, I have video of my child sitting on Biz Markie's lap and beat boxing with him. Awesome and surreal!). The characters did come out and she was able to high five and stuff.

But, it's all flat on the floor, so unless you're upfront, it's hard to see sometimes. Especially since people were standing. Unless you were in the first few rows, I would go for the stadium seating.
