So, he is drools everywhere and has been chewing on everything since he was 5 months. Everyone kept commenting that he was teething but we still have no signs of teeth coming in. Anyone else have a LO not teething yet? I have a pedi appointment tomorrow, so I will ask the doc. But I thought teething at 6 months was the norm?
Re: No teeth at 7.5 months
Good to know! I wasn't worried that he would be a toothless kid forever, but it does seem odd (to me) that nothing is popping up.
I was thinking the same about DD, that she was going to be a late bloomer but the other day i checked and noticed a little line on her gum so its coming soon.
My friends DS didnt get his first tooth until 11 months then the rest popped in quickly after.
This is how DS1 was, except his first tooth was around 10 months. DS2 will be 7 months on Friday and still no signs of teeth. I figure he will probably be a late teether like his brother.
We thought our daughter was teething at her 4 month appointment, but when she still didn't have a tooth at her 6 month appointment her pediatrician said that she must not have been after all. I know some people swear their kids teeth for months before a tooth shows, but according to her it takes a month or so. *shrug* She said it could take some kids up to a year to get their first tooth.
We're breastfeeding, so I am in NO rush for her to get any teeth, haha!

Andrew has 2 teeth already, but my niece didn't have any until she was 11.5 months old. My pedi said the record for our practice is 18 months.
FWIW - Andrew drooled like crazy starting at 3 months and didn't have a tooth until almost 7 months.
DD#1 (now 8y) didn't get her first tooth until she was 9m.
DD#2 is now 6.5m and no teeth yet....
So it's perfectly normal!
No teeth here either. I'm glad because we are still EBF.
I had to have my last four baby teeth pulled when I was 14 because they still hadn't come out yet. My adult teeth had grown in on top and just sat there not pushing the baby teeth out. I'm guessing DD2 has teeth like me. I'm not worried.

Well, as long as we're still in the curve and all is well, I will continue to enjoy that toothless grin and be grateful for the bite free nursing sessions.
