hi ladies, did you find that your twins' estimated weights decreased toward the end of the 3rd trimester? mine have typically been in the 50'ish percentiles and now at 37 weeks, they're measuring at the 21st and 25th percentiles. my OB isnt overly concerned but he did admit that the babies are small and we can induce next week (at 36wks, 6 days). the u/s says they're both over 5lbs, but i know this is an overestimate
my singleton was predicted to be over 6lbs and she was 5,13 born at 40 weeks.
what was your experience with weights at this point?

My first set were born at 34 weeks------ 4lbs, 15 oz for baby A and 5lbs. 1 oz for baby B.
My second set of twins born at 38 weeks------- 6lbs 3 oz. for baby A and 4 lbs. 14 oz for baby B (she had an underdeveloped umbilical cord).
I think that both your babies will be over 5lbs at 37 weeks. I would actually think they are at least 5.5 lbs each. Remember that 34 weeks is important to make it to due to lung developement and 36 weeks is very good carrying twins to! Relax this next week and enjoy the next bit of your pregnancy! Keep us updated!

Boy/girl twins born October 4, 2011
They did seem to go down a little in percentiles. And actually it made me nervous because Baby A was estimated at 5 lbs 12 oz at 35w and 5lbs11oz at 37w.
They did say it was harder to get accurate measurements toward the end b/c he was so low in my pelvis.
Anyhow, they were actually both estimated at 5lbs11oz at my 37w appt but at birth 6 days later they were both almost a full pound more than that.
Hello! We had an ultrasound done when I was 36 weeks 6 days and they said A was 6.9 and B was 7 even. I had them at 37weeks 1 day...A was 6.4 and B was 7 even
Also with my oldest they said he was well over 9 pounds at my 37 week ultrasound and he was 9.13 at 40 weeks...I've been lucky I guess with good ultrasounds done.
Hang in there!! I'd definatly say they should be over 5 pounds..
