Just learned TWINS

We went in for our first ultrasound Friday at 6w 4d and they measured  a little behind. We were able to see the heartbeats and one of them was a little slower then the other I was wondering if its pretty normal this early for one heart beat to be a little slower?

  • Congratulations & best wishes!! :)

And, to answer your question- yes, I think that is very normal. Mine sometimes are pretty close and sometimes up to 20bpm away from each other.

  • Congrats to you! I think it's fairly common. When I had my first u/s at 6w0d one of my twins didn't have a heartbeat at all. At 7 weeks they both had little heartbeats, but baby A has always had a slower heartrate than baby B (even at 9 and 11 week u/s).

    Congrats again!

  • Congrautlations and welcome!
