Where will you put your tree this year?

We usually put it in the living room, but that is LO's major hang out place. I wonder if I should just chance it.

Pretty much the only other space is in the nook, as the dinning room is jammed with furniture. Blah. Im sure next year will be a lot easier. I suppose I could always push the toybox in front of the tree this year, so she cant touch it. But, the toy box generally blocks the stairs. She is getting fast, and mom is old. lol

We're staying with my mom until we move to NC in January and she puts 1 tree up in the living room and 1 in the basement. E isn't in the basement much with us so I'm not worried about that one but I have no idea how we're going to keep her away from the one in the living room.

I'm putting one in the living room, one in the dining room, one in the room over the garage and am looking for a spot for one more. With older DS I just stayed after him to leave the tree alone. It was frustrating sometimes but they do learn (eventually).

I think ours will go in its usual spot in the loving room, but I'll probably put it up on a box or something so P "can't" get to it- or at least slow him down.

We might not have one this year. I might go crazy trying to keep him away. I don't know. Maybe we will get a tiny one and put it up high?!

We put up the fake one in the playroom and get a real one for the living room. I put the playroom one up this week and told both kids "No touching just look how pretty it is" Emily was like ok, whatever and wandered off to play with something else. Aiden sat and took a bunch of ornaments off, then put them back on and over and over again. He also attempted to open the few presents I had under there. So my 2 year old has been much more of a pain with the tree than my 10 month old for sure.

I wanted to put it in the basement since we're not down there very much but H wants it in the living room. It is nice to enjoy it while we're hanging out but I don't know how I'll keep LO & the dog out of the tree. Probably just put the ornaments on the upper half and leave the lower half empty or ornaments that I don't really care about. Last year we just had a little tabletop tree, our house was just too small and we had a new puppy.

We have an eat-in kitchen, but instead of a dining table, we have our computer/desk set up against the wall. We plan on putting the tree in the open space and then fencing off the kitchen.

We are putting it in the room with the fireplace - LO never goes in there but my H hangs out there all the time - it's his man-cave. Whatev.

We usually put it in the living room in front of the big window. I think this year we may put it in the corner of the living room so we can kind of close it off. I will have to see how it looks there.

I am seriously considering putting the tree in our pack & play, heh.

What I think we're going to do is get one of those freeform multi-part gates and put it close to the kitchen next to the back window. I also have to pick a time she's asleep and cull all the breakable ornaments to store until she's old enough to understand "look with your eyes not your fingers."

LOL, I like the idea of putting it in the pack and play. lol.

It was always bad enough I could never put ANY presents under it because of the dogs, and now I have to corner it off in some room were no one will pay attention it.

Poor tree.
