Babies: 0 - 3 Months

Reflux

I am so disapointed, my DD who is 9 days old has reflux. My first daughter who is 15 mo is still struggling with reflux, I kept telling myself it will be diffrent this time, but now she isnt even 2 weeks old and we have it. Waiting for tomorrow to call the GI to find out what she reccomends for medication before going to the pedi. I tried to rationalize her symptoms to be something else but its not. I am just so upset that another one of my baby's is going through this!!! UGHH

Re: Reflux

  • Ah, hugs from another reflux mom!  I would be thinking about #2 very soon if it weren't for the reflux battle we've been having.  I hope your DD gets relief soon!  On the upside, you've been through this before and are so much more prepared than a newbie.

  • Right there with you!  DS had terrible GERD...by 18 months all signs of it were gone so there may be a light at the end of the tunnel for you.

Now DD has reflux and terrible tummy/digestive issues.  I so badly wanted this infant experience to be better and we are so disappointed.  I can totally relate to you.

  • I have a diaper to bring in the check for blood, I am so hoping that its negative, I feel so guilty but I don't want to have to give up my holidays again this year. My DD also had a milk/soy protien allergy, and I did an elimination diet and I wasnt able to eat anything for the holidays. She finally is asleep, we have been having so much trouble today, she hasnt slept on her back all afternoon, even in the car she stayed awake. I am hopeful for a restful night. Good Luck to all the other reflux moms and babies.
