TTC After a Loss 6 Months+

Re-intro...will you have me back?

My name is Allyson and I have been on a bump break for a couple of months now.

My TTC background: I had a late loss in 2009 and during that pregnancy I found out I had large fibroids and a Septate Uterus.  In 2010 I had surgery to remove the fibroids and septum.  I was cleared after surgery and got pregnant again a couple of months later.  That pregnancy never progressed normally (very slow, non-doubling betas) and miscarried and had a D&C.

I haven't gotten pregnant again after that, it's been a year now.  Earlier this year I went to a new RE.  We tried Metformin and Clomid, which never worked.  I then had another HSG last month which showed no dye spillage on either side.  I then had laparoscopic surgery this past Thursday so my RE could look at everything from the outside.  He found lots of scar tissue and bowel adhesions to the top of my uterus, blocking my tubes, caused from my previous surgery...which is the reason I have not been able to get pregnant again.  The surgery fixed one problem, but caused another.  He was not able to remove the scar tissue and trying to remove the bowel from my uterus would have been very risky and dangerous.

My RE said our only option to conceive now is IVF.  I have an appt in a few weeks to sit down with DH and my RE to go over everything and start the process.

So, I will be back here on TTCAL 6+ and I'm sure I'll have questions too...if you'll have me back.   Can't wait to reconnect with my "friends"!!
