...the tip of my nose. It's like a pull. My nose feels...cold? frustrated?...if DS's head is close and I don't press the tip of it into his hair. Anyone else? I would never have thought this had the potential to be a normal (and, therefore, publicly discussable) phenomenon until I ran into my midwife at Starbucks. She nuzzled her face into DS's hair and said "I just have to rub their hair with the tip of my nose." OK...so are Dr. Leslie and I the only loonies or are there more out there?

Re: I Have an Insatiable Drive to Touch DS With...
this made me lol
not something i do, but sounds cute
I am pretty sure, but could be making this up, that babies secrete pheromones from the top of their head. I notice that when my friends/family hold LO, they inhale the top of her head and I swear I see them visibly relax.
I also smell her head to help me sleep at night. That sounds weird now that I've typed it out, but I'm pretty sure it's hormonal.
Not an academic source, but:
"Bonding experts say that babies' heads give off pheromones, and when we inhale them, we fall in love, and begin to feel protective."

Mac and cheese lover!
Oh, I'm a total head-face-ears-and-neck sniffer! Love it love it love it... I have a really good sense of smell so scents have special meaning to me.
And I do the combing of her hair with the tip of my nose too... and with my chin... and with my cheek... lol She just makes me silly with tenderness! The world turns pink when she smiles - I don't even like pink, in fact, I hate pink, but I love it when it irradiates from her!
So yeah, loonie all the way...
Oh, and I love the pic in your siggy. Crazy bellydancing fan here! It has been a while and still can't go back to my classes (where's all that time gone?), but I can't go past a mirror without dancing for a bit...
Are you a dancer too? Or just a spy?
