April 2012 Moms

I have a UO

We sell several shirts at the store that have different designs on them and say "DRAMA QUEEN"...ummm wtf?  Why would you ever buy that for your daughter?  It's like saying it's ok to act like a drama queen.  Wonder what the dads think about shirts like that?  Why don't they make boy shirts that say stuff like "Hell Raiser" or something (bad example, sorry)?

Re: I have a UO

  • I hate those. I also don't allow Hazel clothes saying what a princess she is.
i wish i could be joking but my dad is the music teacher at a church so he owuld be mad. we had sex, all the time how bad i know but we dont want to wait and he said GREAT OH KAY! and I was really feeling the wets? down there- too embarsed to say- but he acted like man.

  • They do make boy clothes that have negative sayings on them.  I HATE boy clothes that say things like "Trouble Maker" and "Little Monster."  DS is NOT a trouble maker.  He is a nice, sweet little boy!

  • I personally don't like the shirts that have sayings on them like that either.

  • I don't necessarily hate them, but I wouldn't ever buy them for my kids. DH has said from the get go that we will not call any potential daughters "princess" because we don't like the idea of spoiling our kids! LOL

  • I think clothing with any sort of saying on it like that is stupid too.

A LOT of baby boy clothing has stupid sayings on them. There aren't as many plain cute clothes for baby boys as there are for girls. The selection is already usually a lot less for boys, and then 80% of it I ignore because it says "Mommy's Little Monster" or "100% Rough and Tough".

  • I had a shirt someone bought me when i was about 5 that said 'Girls rule, boys drool' and my mom HATED it. I wasn't allowed to wear it unless we were doing something messy and it might get ruined.

  • They have this Christmas onesie that I like, it says "Silent Night" all nice and cursive and then below it says "...Mommy wishes"

  • Awhile ago I was getting my hair done, and I saw this little girl with a t-shirt that said "If you think i'm a BISH, you should meet my mom" I was totally disgusted with this.  On a side note- the mother was a bish, and the kid was a total brat! She kept messing with the stylist's things in her area and running around like a crazy.

  • I had one for Toot last year that said "All mommy wants for Christmas is a silent night" I loved that one. I just don't care for the drama queen ones.

I love the Christmas ones! DD has one that says "I'm on the nice list, trust me" and "Dear Santa, Define Good". My husband and I also have our share of shirts with random sayings, I think they're funny. But no princess or drama queen stuff.

I like these I just wish so many of them weren't out there.  I was shopping today and today hardly find any everyday outifts that did not say either mommy loves me or daddy loves me, etc.

  • I'm not much of a fan of shirts with writing on them like that. DD has a few and i'm sure LO will have some, but not a lot. I don't see a problem with princess shirts here and there, I can call DD my little princess doesn't mean she's spoiled. I also think shirts for boys saying here comes trouble are cute, I don't take them literally. But yea this is a UO post so, lol

  • I'm glad you posted this because one of my pet peeves are onesies/baby clothes that say dumb things! I am not going to put my baby into anything like that.

  • I have already told the potential clothing gifters (MIL and mom mostly) that I will not be dressing our daughter in anything that says "Princess, Spoiled, etc." I really hate that mentality of daughters being spoiled brats. DS also doesn't have much clothing with sayings on them.

For summer, those with boys (and girls) that want just plain t-shirts: this site is awesome

these shirts are good quality and cheap and you can get them in every color. I'll be buying a whole new load of 18 month sizes here soon.
