Phew! New RE and much better vibes

I finally just had a second (well, first?) appt with an RE after I self-referred myself to a well known hospital in the area. My first appt at another office was a complete bust, after she told me that IVF was the only way to go (after I've not tried ONE medicated cycle yet). So anyway, what a relief! Doctor spent a great deal of time with me, as did her staff, and told me that despite having hypoammenorhea and anovulation, she doesn't think it's anything she can't fix. Thinks the 4mm uterine lining comes from the hypo, and so she said we can talk injectable at my next f/u after DH's 2nd SA and blood work. So anyway, even though it's more waiting, at least things are moving in the right direction (and not immediately to IVF!). Still praying for a miracle in the 2ww, so sending lots of positive vibes to everyone else in the same situation

Not being rude, but hypoamenorrhea is not a word. Amenorrhea is the complete absence of a period (typically because you're not ovulating). Hypomenorrhea, while I've never heard of it termed this way, means a light period (typically because you don't have a thick enough lining). Sorry, I'm a nurse and a little OCD on my medical terminology

All that aside, I'm glad you found someone willing to try harder with you than just IVF and I hope you have good luck!

I'm glad you found a place where you are comfy!! I'm actually in a similar boat as you... made and went to an apt with a well known RE, was not getting good vibes at all. So, I got a new RE from my OB and am soooo happy already! I have had lots of phone convos and will officially meet 12/6.
