Trying to Get Pregnant

early-pregnancy-tests.com products

What do you all think of the quality of OPKs and HPTs from www.early-pregnancy-tests.com? I found the OPKs to kind of stink - got much better/clearer results on my Wondfos.

So it makes me wonder about the HPTs, as I get closer to testing time. I'm tempted to toss them, but since I got 10 for free (hmmmm, maybe there is a reason for that), I may as well pee away.

Any experiences, comparisons, etc?

  • I haven't used them in a long time, but the HPTs always gave me really faint lines even if it was "negative" which I didnt like. Got hopes up ALOT. Not sure if they are still like that though!

  • I had read a while ago on here about some bad batches of ICs, but wasn't sure if it was Wondfo, early-preg or something else. I sorta felt like I may have gotten a bad batch (at least for the OPKs).

  • Earlier this year I got a bad batch of opks. I didnt know it until my friend who lives in Canada tested with the early-preg and her monitor and then ended up using a store brand because her monitor gave her peak but the early-preg didnt even look dark. We compared lot numbers and they were in and of the same. So its completely likely.

  • I have tried both kinds of OPKs and I like Wondfos better. It's easier to see the line fade in/out. For me, I didn't see much of anything on the early-pregnancy-tests OPKs until the day it was positive.

I did end up buying some HPTs from early-pregnancy-tests since it seemed like there was a bad batch of Wondfos going around.

  • I don't like them!  I got them once and I never got a + on them (HPTs) until my betas were over 100 (I had a + with Wondfo as low as 50 hCG)

  • I personally don't trust them.  I got this false positive/evap last week.  FR and Wondfo's were negs.

  • I never got a false positive on the HPTs, but the OPKs did catch my surge for the last 4 months (confirmed with EWCM and temping). I just bought Wondfos because they are so much cheaper. If for no other reason, the price difference would be a factor for me!

  • Thank you! I got them super cheap off Amazon - the 40 pack + 10 hpts. In order to get free shipping, I had to add something else and so I got a 10 pack of Wondfos. There definitely was a difference, and I'm sorta pissed I have so many now! If I had to rely on the early-preg ones, it would have sucked. Luckily I had my 7dpo prog test that did confirm ovulation, so I know the Wondfos were correct.

I just bought some CBE digital HPTs at Walmart (3 pack on sale for like $5!), so when it gets time to test in a few days I'll have back up if I'm skeptical (b/c we always are when we see BFNs!).

  • Stick with Wondfo's... I bought the early HPTs and they barely had a line when even a digital was +.
