Hi Ladies,
My family just moved from Houston to Austin, and so far we love our new life here. I am a brand new, stay-at-home mom, so I am very eager to get plugged in to the local community... which I'm sure you know is tricky with an almost-three-month-old who hates car rides!
I have found a pediatrician for Alexa - HIll Country Pediatrics - actually her new doctor is my Houston OB's sister.
Now I'm looking into hospitals and OBs because we are hoping to have our next baby pretty soon. I've been looking at St. David's and OB/GYN North... but I would love to hear any suggestions or experiences.
I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving!
Re: Intro
Hey there and welcome to town!
I delivered both of my boys at St. David's (north) and had a great experience w/ both.
I just posted that I was looking for a new MD. The recs I got were central but had a ton of recommendations for Women in Partner's Health which is near 34th & Lamar.
Welcome to the board!
Hello and welcome!
I had a great experience at NAMC. I love my DR from the practice you mentioned, Dr. S, but I would not recommend the practice. It was very unorganized. I've heard good things about Nurture OB~Gyn.
Good luck!
Thanks for the tip! I will look into them - it didn't come up in my search last night.
i go to www.rwgdocs.com and see dr ney man although ive heard good things about all the docs in the practice. she is great and the best part is there is rarely a wait at appts. they are right across the street from st davids. i delivered at st david (NAMC) and had a great experience.
welcome to austin!
Welcome! I have delivered at Seton Central and at North Austin Medical Center. I definitely preferred NAMC and will be using them again for the third.
I was at ob/gyn north for Charlie and was happy there, especially because they let my vbac happen. My favorite dr and midwife (Dr Campaigne and Liane) have branched off to their own practice - Nurture OBGYN, and I'm going there now. I like it a lot so far.
