Opinions needed Birth Announcement/Thank You card??

We've been discussing thank you cards and birth announcements and the like and I wanted to get you ladies opinions on whether or not it would be silly to do a Holiday themed Birth Announcement/Thank you card. DH figures we can do one that has baby on the front with a Wintery theme and then write a thank you on the inside of the card for the gifts at the baby shower. I just don't know what to think about it. What are your opinions?

    I don't think there is anything "wrong" with that. I just wouldn't do the combo TY/Announcement, especially if your shower has happened a month or so before birth.

    I plan on doing a holiday themed birth announcement, but already sent out my thank you cards.

    I agree with the PPs, your thank you cards need to be separate & sent out sooner than later.

    I like the idea of a holiday themed birth announcement, I've been trying to find one myself.

    I think holiday themed announcements are cute, kind of a combo holiday card & birth announcement.  We are doing one of those.  I ordered this card from Etsy:

    However, IMO, your TYs should be seperate.  Sorry, it's the Ms. Manners in me.
