Anyone use Mirena?

I got the pamphlet from the dr, and have yet to flip through it.

I am looking for first hand experiences..

I dont like the idea of using it, but the bcp is just not working out for me. I hate taking it, never remember to take it since I have been off it so long..etc..

    I have Mirena.  So far no problems and period :)  I have had it since about 10 weeks postpartum.

    It sounds like quite a few people dont get a period, that is nuts. Always would probably go out of business if i stopped my heavy flow. lol

    I have been on Mirena since about 8 weeks pp and I love it.  I was breastfeeding when I started and still have not gotten a period.  I have light spotting about once every 2 months but nothing major.  I really love being on Mirena.  I got pregnant with dd while taking the pill and I was very diligent about taking it.  The thing I love the most about Mirena is that the hormones are localized... as in just sending the hormone to your uterus rather than thru your blood so I don't get the mood swings and emotional roller coaster rides the pill gave me.  Hope this helps.
